Character Formation

HOPE uses the Christian Character Formation Project  curriculum, a Bible-based narrative journey, that trains children to ultimately live Christ-centered, fulfilling lives for Greater Purpose.

The CCFP employs a unique character development process that teaches children to identify their God-given identity and purpose and use that knowledge to take virtue-filled actions that benefit the greater good.

Why Character?

Character is an internal energy that inspires us to act, restrains us from acting, and gives us the wisdom or moral compass to know when each action is appropriate. Our character drives everything we do in life. When character is acquired and held internally, it leads to a virtuous life, lived for a Greater Purpose.

Students learn about the following seven virtues and are able to not only explain their meaning but live them out in their daily lives:

Justice God's power for you to do the right thing
Respect God's power for you to honor Him and others
Responsibility God's power for you to be accountable to Him and others
Integrity God's power fro you to be true to Him and others
Self-Sacrifice God's power for you to be accountable to Him and others
Diligence God's power for you to focus on your work
Courage God's power for you  to overcome fear

The result: HOPE scholars are inspired from within to become lifelong learners, inspirations to their families, and contributors to their communities.
